Health and Wellness

Health and Wellness programs are offered by Aging Service Access Points (ASAPs) and Councils on Aging (COA) through local senior centers. Services may include health screenings, nutrition education, health insurance information benefits counseling (Medicare and options), fitness, recreation and learning opportunities.

Early Intervention

Early Intervention provides family-centered services to help children with developmental difficulties due to identified disabilities, or at risk due to certain birth or environmental circumstances develop the skills they will need to continue to grow into happy and healthy members of the community. Early Intervention is administered by the Department of Public Health, and may be paid for by MassHealth. 

Health and Wellness Programs

Home Health

These services are for MassHealth-eligible individuals of any age requiring nursing and other therapeutic services provided by certified home health agencies. Home health services are available through MassHealth.

Hospice

Hospice is an all-inclusive benefit designed to meet all of a person’s medical and palliative (comfort) needs related to a terminal illness. Hospice services are available through MassHealth.

Independent Nursing

Licensed nurses enrolled as providers of MassHealth services can provide two or more continuous hours of service to MassHealth eligible individuals in the community. Independent Nursing services are available through MassHealth.

Ride Match

Ride Match is a statewide database of public and private transportation options.

Therapy Services 

Health and Therapeutic Services are available for many living situations and include care provided by licensed specialists or teams of professionals.  Information about the MassHealth Programs
