Good Neighbor Energy Fund (Salvation Army)

The Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund is available to any Massachusetts resident who, because of temporary financial difficulty, cannot meet a month's energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance.  Supplemental Security Income (SSI)

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) is a cash assistance program administered by the Social Security Administration for elders (over age 65) and disabled individuals of all ages. SSI is administered by the Social Security Administration and the Department of Transitional Assistance and assists eligible Massachusetts residents to receive SSI benefits.

Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC)

Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) provides cash assistance to families with children and pregnant women in the last 120 days of pregnancy, with little or no assets or income. TAFDC is state and federally funded and administered by the Department of Transitional Assistance.

Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC)

Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled and Children (EAEDC) provides cash assistance to persons who are unable to work due to a physical or mental disability, over 65 years old and waiting for SSI payments to begin, caring for a child, or who are participating in a Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission program. EAEDC is administered by the Department of Transitional Assistance.
